This year I was a part of the Vocational Pathways class. We have done projects that have taught us about building, the environment our community and work experience.

Our first project was to build a chicken coop. We made this out of a greenhouse archway, added tin from off the roof off A block at school and then Whaea Jaime brought the chicken wire.

This was a big job but we worked really hard together to get this finished. We were given 12 chickens that we had to feed everyday and collect eggs from.

I really like these kinds of projects, they have taught me heaps.

Something that surprised me  about the chickens

is that they laid lots of eggs.

Yesterday when me and the boys visited them we collected nine eggs.

Three of these eggs were green the rest were pale brown.

Those nine eggs completed two dozen eggs, which we left at the office

for them to sell.
